Station 64 Assists Station 62 House Fire

Today at 5:49 p.m., Station 64 was dispatched to assist Station 62 on a reported house fire in the 2100 block of South Pottstown Pike. Battalion 64 and Tower 64 responded at dispatch with Engine 64-2 and Rescue 64 following shortly after. Deputy 64 and Engine 64-5 were busy assisting with a large brush fire in Berks County and could not assist on the house fire. Lieutenant 62 and Battalion 64 arrived on scene with fire showing from the Charlie side of the building. Deputy 62 arrived on scene and established command. Engine 62-1 arrived on scene as the first due engine and stretched a hand-line inside the building. Tower 64 arrived as the first due special and split its crew to assist with fire suppression and a primary search of the second floor. 64 units would remain on scene for approximately 1.5 hours before returning available. Station 64 handled a total of 6 calls to service today.
