Yesterday, at 7:20pm Tower 64 was requested to assist Montco Station 69 on a house fire in the 500 block of Walnut Street, Pottstown Borough. Chief 64, Deputy 64, & Tower 64 (crew of 5) made the response to assist. First in crews arrived on the scene to find two homes well involved on the charlie side (rear) of the home, requesting mutual companies to assist. Tower 64 assisted with fire suppression on division two, securing power to the homes, and overhaul. Tower 64 remained on the scene for approximately 1.5 hours before being released to respond to a fire alarm in the 300 block of High Street, Pottstown Borough. Shortly after clearing the fire alarm, Tower 64, Montco Quint 58, and Montco Squad 67 were requested to relocate to Station 69A (Good Will Fire Company) to cover the area while crews cleaned up at the house fire. Tower 64 was released from the standby after approximately 1 hour and returned to quarters. Station 64 responded to a total of 4 calls for the day. |
