Today at 12:42AM Station 64 was dispatched to assist Berks 7 on a reported Barn Fire in the 500 block of Sycamore Road, Union Township. Engine 64-5 & Tower 64 responded with a total of 10 firefighters to assist. First arriving units found a barn fully involved with embers starting multiple spot fires around the property. 64 crews assisted with extinguishing spot fires, fire suppression & overhaul while Engine 64-5 supplied water to the scene. Due to a partial collapse of the structure command declared exterior operations only. 64 units operated for 4 hours before returning to quarters.
